The End is Ever Nearer

I haven't had much to say lately.  I guess that means everything has been okay.  I was sitting here thinking about how old I was and decided to listen to my favorite song of all time.  It's not Bach or Beethoven but it's just as good in my book.  I'm certain most 60's audiophiles would cringe for one reason or another, but this song has lots of great memories for me and I can listen to it over and over and over.  I even know the words where most people only know a couple of lines.  I'm going to give you a video for your viewing pleasure (if you have dial up, sorry, it's a couple of minutes long).

Now,  here's where things went bad.  I was looking at some of the other "artists" performing Long Cool Woman and I think I've discovered the second sign of the Apocalypse (the first sign was the butthole-less dog, The End is Nigh).  Take a listen to this next video and then realize that these creatures walk among us.  The video is grainy and I haven't checked to see if it will reflect in a mirror, but I am sure it is not of this world.

UPDATE!!!!  Mark on down for the Good!  In the Good vs. Evil battle for world domination, a small victory such as this is sign that Good will win out in the long run.  Apparently the creature(s) that were responsible for the video below have accepted defeat, removed this horrendous siren song and, thus, the world is a better place.  If you never heard it, consider yourself lucky.

That was awful! You know I had wondered what happened to the guys in Sha Na Na. And were the backups chewing gum? The sad thing is that these idiots probably think they sound better than the Hollies. Well, as we say down here in the South..."They were doing the best they could do with what they had to work with, bless their hearts."
